IICTAP 2021 – Major Changes

15th International ICT Awards Philippines (IICTAP)

 

SUMMARY:


The significant changes in ICTAP for 2021 have been with respect to:

    • The format of the Launching event
    • The status of Appreciation Night
    • Close of Nomination Night
    • The format of the Announcement of Winners event
    • The format of the Presentation of Awards event
    • he award categories
    • The structure of award categories
    • The Title Sponsorships
    • The sponsorship packages

There have been some minor changes:

    • Clarifying certain provisions in the Eligibility and Judging Criteria
    • In the composition of the Organizing Committee
    • In the composition of the Judging Appeal Board

There have been no changes (except for dates where applicable) in:

    • The Organizer of the event (Canadian Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines
    • The Official Endorsers (DICT, PEZA, and NICP)
    • The Independent Compliance Officer (Mr. Monchito Ibrahim)
    • The names of Judges held confidential until Finalists and Winners announced
    • The Judging Auditor (Isla Lipana PWC)
    • The Legal Adviser (Virgilio Del Rosario & Partners)
    • Procedure for submitting nominations and mandatory requirement to submit these online
    • Mandatory requirement for Nominees to submit latest published Annual and Audit Reports
    • Procedure for compliance review of eligibility and complete documentation
    • Procedure for selection of judges and judging of eligible nominations
    • Procedure for audit of the judging proceedings and results
    • Procedure and grounds for appeal of decisions by the Judging Panel

 

SPECIFIC CHANGES

The format of the Launching event:

    • Changed to a virtual event on October 30, 2020, with information posted on IICTAP website

The status of Appreciation Night and Close of Nomination Night:

    • Appreciation night not being held due to Covid-19, quarantine restrictions
    • No decision on Close of Nominations Night pending quarantine restrictions in February 2021

The format of the Announcement of Finalists and Winners event on April 10,2021:

    • The Announcement of Finalists and Winners will be on TV streamed in Facebook
    • The Announcement will be replayed on Facebook and You Tube fir one month
    • The Announcement will not be streamed on a ZOOM webinar

The format of the Presentation of Awards event on April 15, 2021:

    • If prevailing quarantine restrictions permit this will be a celebrity dinner at a premier hotel
    • If prevailing quarantine restrictions do not permit this will arranged as a virtual event

The award categories:

    • New awards for Best Company for Fintech Services, Best SME for ICT Services, and for a Outstanding use of ICT Services to Fight Covid 19
    • Change in status of Most Innovative Company to a Premier Award
    • Change in scope for award for Best Company for Software Development
    • Deletion of award for Best Company for Creatives

The structure of award categories:

    • The award categories have been regrouped as follows:

• Premier Award Categories
• Business status Award Categories
• Sector Award Categories

    • The classification has no application for eligibility of judging criteria for each award category which is specified for each award category

The Title Sponsorships:

    • The previous Title Sponsors have advised that, given changed marketing priorities and budget reductions, they will not be Title Sponsors for the 2021 event
    • The Organizing Committee is reviewing the options of continuing with multiple Title Sponsors, with a single exclusive Title Sponsor, or with no Title Sponsor and multiple Platinum Sponsors

Sponsorship packages:

    • The sponsorship packages, including collaterals and subscription fee, have been adjusted given changes in marketing value of virtual events planned in 2021
    • A new feature is provided for a sponsor to have exclusivity for its sponsorship with no competition sponsor in the same industry sector has been added

Clarifying provisions in the Eligibility and Judging Criteria:

    • It has been clarified that the sub-points indicated for each judging criteria are examples and neither mandatory inputs nor limits on inputs

In the composition of the Organizing Committee:

    • The Chairman of CanCham ICT Committee (Mr. Richard McGonegal) added as member

In the composition of the Judging Appeal Board:

    • The Independent Compliance Officer has been added as a member
